Stephen Honeycutt

Vice President

Steve Honeycutt joined First Tryon Advisors in June 2022 as a Vice President in the firm’s Operational Consulting group. Before joining First Tryon, Steve served the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for 16 years, filling the roles of Director of Planning and Budgets, Interim Controller and, most recently, Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance. Prior to joining UNC Greensboro, he developed his accounting and budgetary experience at UNC Asheville over the course of 20 years in the roles of Assistant Director of Accounting, Contracts and Grant Accounting, and University Budget Officer.

Steve is a graduate of UNC Asheville with a B.S. in Management. He is a Municipal Advisor Representative (Series 50).
